Mood is a feature that expresses modality and subclassifies finite verb forms.
Imp: imperative
The speaker uses imperative to order or ask the addressee to do the action of the verb.
Examples
- bak ʔabk -i -n / w= hi “Take the lamb like that!”
Opt: optative
Expresses exclamations for a wish like “May you have a long life!” or “If only I were rich!” In Beja the negative optative is compulsory in dependent clauses.
