In Bamana, aspect is expressed by auxiliaries or, in case of imperative, by its abcense.
Imp: imperative
In affirmative imperative, ther is no auxiliaries, while in negative imperative (prohibitive), an auxiliary kàna is used.

- Bɔ́ yàn! “Go away!”
- Í kána kàsi! “Do not cry!”
Sub: Subjunctive
In subjunctive, an auxiliary ká is used.
Example
- Í ká dɔń kɛ́! “You should dance!”
Cnd: Conditional
Conditional may be expressed by an auxiliary mána, but such cases are rather rare.
Example
- Dúnan mána nà, mɔ̀gɔw bɛ́ dɔ́n kɛ́ “If guests come, people will dance”.
