PronType
: pronominal type
This is a lexical feature of pronouns and some determiners.
Prs
: personal pronoun or determiner
This feature includes both nominal personal, possessive and reflexive pronouns or determiners.
Examples
- jaz “I”, ti “you”, on “on”, ona “she” etc.
- moj “my/mine”, tvoj “your/yours”, njegov “his”, njen “her/hers” etc.
- se “oneself”, svoj “one’s own”
Int
: interrogative pronoun or determiner
Examples:
- kdo “who”
- kaj “what”
- kakšen “what kind of”
- kateri “which”
- čigav “whose”
Rel
: relative pronoun or determiner
Examples:
- kar “which/that”
- kdor “who”
- ćigar “kdor”
- kakršen “as/like”
- karkoli “anything”
- kdorkoli “anyone”
- kakršenkoli “any, of any kind”
Dem
: demonstrative pronoun or determiner
Examples
- ta “this”
- tisti “that”
- takšen “such”
- tale “this here”
- oni “that there”
- tak “such”
- tadva “these two”
Tot
: total (collective) pronoun or determiner
Examples
- ves “all”
- vsak “each”
- vsakdo “everyone”* oba “both”
- vsakršen “any kind”
Neg
: negative pronoun, determiner or adverb
Examples
- nič “nothing”
- nihče, noben, nobeden “nobody”
- nikakršen, nikak “no kind”
- nikogaršnji “nobody’s”
- nikak “no way”
Ind
: indefinite pronoun, determiner, numeral or adverb
Examples
- nekateri “some/someone”
- nekaj “something”
- isti “same”
- nek, nekakšen “some kind of”
- mnog, premnog “many”
- marsikaj “many”
Conversion from JOS
All pronouns with feature Type=personal, Type=reflexive and Type=possessive are converted to UD PronType=Prs
. All pronouns with Type=interrogative are converted to UD PronType=Int
, all pronouns with Type=relative are converted to UD PronType=Rel
, all pronouns with Type=demonstrative are converted to UD PronType=Dem
, all pronouns with Type=general are converted to UD PronType=Tot
, all pronouns with Type=negative are converted to UD PronType=Neg
and all pronouns with Type=indefinite are converted to UD PronType=Ind
.
Not that currently PronType
is only assigned to pronouns and determiners, but not to other POS categories, such as adverbs (zakaj “why”, čemu “what for”, kako “how”, tukaj “here”, tam “there”, tolikokrat “this many times” etc.)
