This page pertains to UD version 2.

advcl:

Middle Persian has a huge variety of adverbial clause modifiers, which are as good as always introduced by subordinators. The order is usually iconic, i.e. anterior and conditional clauses appear before the matrix clause while purposive clauses follow. The border od the subclause can be indicated by ud “and”.
The subjunctor relation can be specified (“always when”, “except when”, “just as when” etc.), which is annotated as an adverbial modifier to the head of the adverbial clause. Some combinations univerbated in New Persian, e.g. čiyōn ka “just as when” in New Persian čonke “because”.

Subject-verb inversion can be used to indicate a subclause.

The advcl relation is also used to indicate optional depictives.
