Number is an inflectional feature of nominals (NOUN, PROPN, PRON). It can also occur on VERB to indicate agreement with its subject, on ADJ to reflect the Number (and Person) of the possessor within the noun phrase, and on NUM when numerals function as nominals.
Sing: singular
A singular denotes one person, animal or thing.

- chau “child”
- yo “this over there”
- akka “I”, hana “you (sg.)”
- khaʔnok “he/she is going”
Dual: dual
The dual denotes exactly two persons, animals, or things. The value Dual is not used for nouns or proper nouns, but it appears on personal pronouns, verbs, and possessive prefixes, where a dual–plural distinction is expressed.

- anci “we two”, hanci “you two”
- ukhacceke “they two are going”
Plur: plural
The plural denotes more than one person, animal, or thing.
Examples
- chace “children (at least two)”
- yoce “those (at least two) over there”
- ani “we (more than two)”, hani “you (more than two)”
- ukhaʔnok “they (more than two) are going”
