Number is an inlfectional feature of all nominals and verbs. Nouns express the number of referents by this feature, while adjectives and verbs mark their agreement with the nouns. There are two values of number: singular and plural.
Verbal forms in the third person of the present tense are usually identical for both numbers, so the number is not tagged for them.

Singular number denote a single referent. Lemmas of nouns and adjectives are in singular.
