advmod: adverbial modifier
An adverbial modifier of a word is a (non-clausal) adverb or adverbial phrase that serves to modify a predicate or a modifier word.
Note that in the Armenian grammatical tradition, the term adverbial modifier covers constituents that function like adverbs regardless of whether they are realized by adverbs, adpositional phrases, or nouns in particular morphological cases. We distinguish adverbials realized by adverbs (advmod) and adverbials realized by noun phrases or adpositional phrases (obl).
We use the advmod relation for the particles չի/či (չ-/č-) and ոչ/oč that are used (attached or separately) to negate verbs in the (older forms of the) present and imperfect indicative and subjunctive (they share the same form). Although these particles may function as verbal negators in a way similar to negative auxiliaries, we do not analyze them as auxiliaries, since they do not have a conjugation paradigm and annotate them as PARTrather than AUX.
