Coordinating conjunctions in Middle Persian include
- ud ‘and’
- ayāb ‘or’
- bē ‘but’
- =iz ‘also, and’
They appear between the coordinated conjuncts except for enclitic =iz, which may follow the second.
In Middle Persian, clause is usually introduced by a junctor, which is frequently ud.
- “And by these five things, a man either becomes evil or dishonoured.”
