aux: auxiliary
An auxiliary of a clause is a form of the auxiliary verbs եմ “be”, and its variants (with separate lemma) լինիմ/linim “be repeatedly / habitually”, also the verbal auxiliaries ունիմ/ownim “have”, կամ/kam “exist”, and partical-like auxiliaries պիտի (պիտ, տի)/piti (pit, ti) “must/will”, կու (կոյ, կ-)/kow (koy, k-) “do/will” and the negative auxiliaries չի (չ-)/či (č-) “do/es not”, ոչ/oč “do/es not” used to construct the periphrastic and the “secondary compound” tenses (in several moods).
Besides aux, the forms of եմ/em and լինիմ/linim may also act as a copula.
Note that in Middle Armenian the auxiliary verb տալ used to construct causative constructions is labeled aux:caus.
