As there are different types of particles (PART) in Afrikaans, we indicate which type they are.
Gen: genitival se
The particle se introducing an genitive. Actually the possessor is following this particle, while the possessed item is preceding it.

- Hierdie en ander programme, insluitend die Apex-Prioriteite wat in verlede Februarie se Staatsrede geïdentifiseer is, vorm die basis van ons pogings om aan ons mandaat te voldoen en die grondwerk vir die toekoms te doen. “These and other programmes, including the Apex Priorities which have been identified in the State of the Nation of last February, are the base of our attemps to fulfil our mandate and do the groundwork for the future.”
Inf: infinitival te
The particle te introducing an infinitive.

Neg: negative particle
The negative particle nie used in double negations.

- En dus, in die woorde van voormalige President Mandela, “durf ons nie talm nie, want ons lang pad is nog nie verby nie“. “And therefore, in the words of former President Mandela, “we don’t dare to delay, as our long path is not over yet”.”
