This feature takes the following values:

There is no grammatical reflex of gender in Middle Persian with the exception of a few lexical calques from Avestan such as the neutral form ašō vs. the feminine form ašōnī “righteous”.
Fem: Feminine sexus
Common nouns and names that are known to refer to feminine beings have value ‘feminine’, such as zan “woman, wife” or anāhīd (divine being).
Masc: Masculine sexus
Common nouns and names that are known to refer to masculine beings have value ‘masculine’, such as brād “brother” or srōš (divine being).
