Tense: tense

This document is a placeholder for the language-specific documentation for Tense.

Treebank Statistics (UD_Tamil)

This feature is universal. It occurs with 3 different values: Fut, Past, Pres.

997 tokens (10%) have a non-empty value of Tense. 477 types (13%) occur at least once with a non-empty value of Tense. 225 lemmas (11%) occur at least once with a non-empty value of Tense. The feature is used with 5 part-of-speech tags: VERB (405; 4% instances), ADJ (282; 3% instances), AUX (260; 3% instances), PART (35; 0% instances), NOUN (15; 0% instances).

VERB

405 VERB tokens (35% of all VERB tokens) have a non-empty value of Tense.

The most frequent other feature values with which VERB and Tense co-occurred: Negative=Pos (405; 100%), Voice=Act (404; 100%), Person=3 (385; 95%), Number=Sing (333; 82%), Mood=Ind (274; 68%), Case=EMPTY (274; 68%), VerbForm=Fin (274; 68%), Polite=EMPTY (263; 65%), Gender=Neut (241; 60%).
