Form has been introduced as a language specific feature for Irish. It covers both the morphology of direct/indirect relative markers, and initial mutation.
Adn
: adnominal ending
These forms of verbs and adjectives modify a following nominal. An auxiliary may be attached to the clause to the left, to which it provides the adnominal ending.
Examples
- 통화 기능을 훨씬 뛰어넘는 도구가 / tonghwa gineungeul hweolssin ddwieoneomneun doguga “a tool that goes far beyond calling”
Aux
: auxiliary form
A verb with an auxiliary ending such as -ji or -go is usually attached to the following verb as its auxiliary.
Examples
- 프랑스는 좋은 평을 듣지 못했다. / peurangseuneun joheun pyeongeul deudji moshaessda. “France doesn’t have a good reputation.”
Compl
: complement form
A verb with complement ending such as -hae or -seo is usually attached to a following verb as an adverbial clause.
Examples
- 제대로 하면 이론적으로는 감지할수 없다. / jedaero hamyeon ironyeogeuro neun gamjihal su eobsda. “In theory, if done right, it’s un-detectable.”
