Treebank Statistics (UD_Slovak)

This feature is universal. It occurs with 2 different values: Imp, Perf. Some words have combined values of the feature; 1 combinations have been observed: Imp|Perf.

17591 tokens (17%) have a non-empty value of Aspect. 6880 types (27%) occur at least once with a non-empty value of Aspect. 2948 lemmas (20%) occur at least once with a non-empty value of Aspect. The feature is used with 2 part-of-speech tags: VERB (15650; 15% instances), AUX (1941; 2% instances).

VERB

15650 VERB tokens (93% of all VERB tokens) have a non-empty value of Aspect.

The most frequent other feature values with which VERB and Aspect co-occurred: Negative=Pos (14355; 92%), Number=Sing (11662; 75%), Mood=EMPTY (11305; 72%), Person=3 (11064; 71%), Animacy=EMPTY (10224; 65%), Tense=Past (9967; 64%), VerbForm=Part (9967; 64%).

VERB tokens may have the following values of Aspect:

• Imp (8223; 53% of non-empty Aspect): je, bol, bola, bolo, sú, mal, boli, má, mala, byť
• Imp,Perf (292; 2% of non-empty Aspect): dal, venovať, počul, dali, venoval, dala, dá, stačilo, daj, dať
• Perf (7135; 46% of non-empty Aspect): povedal, povedala, odvetil, spýtal, odvetila, zvolala, začal, stal, prišiel, spýtala

Aspect seems to be lexical feature of VERB. 99% lemmas (2906) occur only with one value of Aspect.

AUX

1941 AUX tokens (91% of all AUX tokens) have a non-empty value of Aspect.

The most frequent other feature values with which AUX and Aspect co-occurred: Negative=Pos (1923; 99%), VerbForm=Fin (1862; 96%), Mood=Ind (1862; 96%), Tense=Pres (1737; 89%), Person=1 (1668; 86%), Number=Sing (1638; 84%).

AUX tokens may have the following values of Aspect:

• Imp (1941; 100% of non-empty Aspect): som, sme, bude, ste, si, boli, bol, bola, budú, bolo
• EMPTY (185): by
