As the abessive case, which correlates with English without has been brought together under one name, and Komi attests to two separate formatives, a variant feature has been added with the hope of clarification according to range of usage.
Vclause
: -тӧг
The first abessive case (-тӧг) is limited in range to the verbal clause.

Nomin
: -тӧм
The second abessive case (-тӧм) is limited to the nominal phrase and non-verbal clause.

- Вӧлі сія лажмытик, пӧввезӧн дорӧм ӧшына, крышатӧм. “Well, it was rather flat, with windows boarded over and without a roof.”
