: a modifier used to emphazise its head
This is a special class of advmod. This deprel is used in Indonesian grammar for foregrounding particles such as clitics -lah/-kah and for focusing adjunct pun. These particles do not have a specific meaning. For example:
- -lah such as in Dialah pelakunya “He’s the culprit”, where -lah emphasizes the subject dia “he/she”.
- -kah such as in Berapakah harganya? “How much does it cost?”, where -kah emphasizes the interrogative pronoun berapa “how much”.
- pun such as in Tidak seorang pun peduli “No one cares” where pun emphazises tidak seorang “no one”.
