Intr: intransitive verb
A verb that does not take core arguments other than the subject.
Examples
- Ինձ պարտ է բարձրանալ եւ մեռանիլ ի փայտ խաչի/Inj part ē barjranal ew meṙanil i p’ayt xači “I must ascend and die on the wooden Cross”
Tran: transitive verb
A verb that takes a direct object as argument (in addition to the subject). These verbs can be passivized, in which case the direct object becomes the subject.
Examples
- Եվ այլ տուր փշատի փոխինդ/Ev ayl towr p’šati p’oxind “And give also oleaster roasted flour”
