Middle Armenian has postpositions, some prepositions and ambipositions, but not circumpositions.
Ambi: ambiposition
Examples

Prep: preposition
Examples
- ի/i “for the sake of”, առ/aṙ “up to”, ըստ/ëst “according to”, դէմ/dēm “in front of; close to (time)”, (ի) խեչ/(i) xeč “at, next to”, հետ/het “with”
Post: postposition
Examples
- համար/hamar “for”, քով/k’ov “at, near”, պես/pes “as”, վրայ/vray “on”, զատ/zat “except”
Comadp: dependent part of compound adposition
% երևի չենք ունենա, որովհետև բոլորը առանձին կիրառվում են
This value marks dependent first or second part of a compound adposition. This word cannot occur alone. Not all compound adpositions contain words marked Comadp. Many compound prepositions consist of prepositions and a noun (e.g. ի սեր “for the love of”, ի պատիվ “in honor of” ). Sometimes there are just two words, the first one is normal postposition and the second one is a secondary postposition (etymologically some other part of speech, but it has been frozen as
a postposition) as in դեմ հանդիման “in front of”.
Examples
- ի հետ “together with”, ի մէնջ “in, between”
