Komi-Zyrian has a number of particle clitics used to express questions, politeness, or focus.
A
: -а
Expresses question do you think.
Examples
- [kpv] Тун кӧ тайӧ нывбабаыс-а? “If this woman is a witch, you think?”
Add
: -а
Is an additive expressing focus too/also.
Examples
- [kpv] Петас, вокъяс, шонді-й тан! “Hey brothers, the sun is going to come out here, too!

: -ӧ
Expresses question whether.
Examples
- [kpv] тӧдмавны, оз-ӧ дзебсясь сэні враг. “find out, whether there aren’t any enimies hiding there”
So
: -сӧ
Draws attention to something visible.
Examples
- [kpv] _ тадзсӧ…_ “in this way here”
To
: -тӧ
Draws attention to mutual knowledge.
Examples
- [kpv] Ме ог зэв вӧлі пукси шойтчыныястӧ “I was not the kind who would sit down and rest you see”
