Nominal expression (noun, pronoun, noun phrase) functioning as a non-corev(oblique) argument or adjunct that conveys a positive or negative effect (typically in the dative case).

For Agni Vaiśvānara he [i.e. the sacrificer] should seize a black ram, if he intends to break an oath (MS 2.5.6.3).
