There are a set of classifiers in Kʼicheʼ used for animates. There are four classifiers:
- ali: baby girl or young woman
- ala: baby boy or young man
- nan: old/respected woman
- tat: old/respected man

Relat
: relational
Relational nouns are used to encode obliques. These are similar to words such as “top” in English or “lado” in Spanish, but also extend to words such as “with” or “all”.
