Description
Auxiliary verbs are a closed subset of verbs. The following cases are common in Uralic languages:
- Negation verbs
- Copula
- The verbs used in verb chain constructions like past perfect, if applicable
- Some modal verbs
Examples

- [fi] pitää juosta “must run”
- [fi] en tiedä “I do not know”
